Blood is the most essential thing for human life and every two seconds someone needs blood. Since blood can not be manufactured artificially, a huge number of patients depend on donors for their very lives.
Donating blood can save a life, a regular supply of blood is very important as it can only be stored for a limited period.
WHO said Blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to another person — the gift of life.
Donating blood can help people with many health conditions. Such as,

  • A person having internal or external bleeding due to an injury/accident.
-A person with sickle cell disease.

Also donating blood have a huge number of health benefits for the donors,

•Blood donation removes the old blood from our body and initiates the production of new blood cells.
•Donating blood reduces the risk of Heart Attack by 88% (according to The American Journal of Epidemiology)
•It removes extra irons from blood and makes us more healthy.
•Blood donation gives a positive feeling (helping people) and makes our mental health good.
•Some research has suggested that donating blood may also reduce blood pressure.

Also, a person who donates blood undergoes some physical examination and blood test before giving blood. This includes,
•Body Weight
•Blood pressure & Pulse Rate
•Body temperature
•Iron levels
•Presence of infectious diseases (HIV, Hepatitis, syphilis, etc.)
•Blood clotting time

If the tests found abnormalities, the person will not be able to donate blood. However, the results could be a first step toward seeking treatment for the detected condition.

Donating blood will make you feel great for selflessly giving someone the gift of blood. A decision to donate your blood can save a life.
So take a step forward and donate your blood!!
